Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arvydas Sabonis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Kharitonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sabonis comes to the cage accompanied by James Brown - Superbad. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Sabonis tenderised Kharitonov's leg. Kharitonov is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sabonis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kharitonov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sabonis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kharitonov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A left and a right from Kharitonov both land. Nice combination.
Sabonis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kharitonov checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kharitonov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sabonis has time to react.
Kharitonov misses with a body shot.
Sabonis swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Sabonis has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Sabonis throws a shot from downtown. Kharitonov moves away and avoids it.
Sabonis lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kharitonov takes a step back to recover.
Sabonis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sabonis lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kharitonov's sensitive parts.
Sabonis lands with a thumping leg kick.

Kharitonov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sabonis moves away from the strike by Kharitonov.
Sabonis is looking to counter punch.
Sabonis cracks Kharitonov with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Boris Kharitonov has been cut.
Kharitonov on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Sabonis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sabonis lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kharitonov's sensitive parts.
Nice straight punches there by Sabonis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sabonis.
Kharitonov throws a shot to the body.
Sabonis lunges at Kharitonov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kharitonov's hand.
Some wild striking there from Sabonis.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kharitonov on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Sabonis drops his hands momentarily and Kharitonov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Sabonis works the jab nicely.
Sabonis feints and then cracks Kharitonov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kharitonov down.
Kharitonov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kharitonov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sabonis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sabonis.
Sabonis throws a shot to the body.
Kharitonov looks winded!
Sabonis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kharitonov.
Sabonis lands a high kick to the side of Kharitonov's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Sabonis dives into guard, looking to finish.
Kharitonov is rocked!
Sabonis advances position into side control!
Kharitonov is still in real trouble! Can Sabonis finish him?
Sabonis just content to control the position.
Sabonis works to advance to full mount. Kharitonov defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Sabonis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Sabonis get's back to his feet.
Kharitonov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sabonis can pounce on him.

Kharitonov is holding his hands too far apart here. Sabonis throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Kharitonov is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Arvydas Sabonis was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
