Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bittor Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xavier's entrance music is Jane's Addiction- Mountain Song. A fine choice. Bittor Xavier has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavier closes the distance and clinches up with Christopher, looking for a takedown. Xavier pushes Christopher against the cage but Christopher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Christopher looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Christopher tries to clinch but Xavier moves out of range.

Xavier shoots in and bounces Christopher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Xavier controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Christopher keeping moving, preventing Xavier from controlling successfully.
Christopher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Xavier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xavier makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Xavier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Xavier drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Christopher manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Xavier has Christopher in his guard.

Christopher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Xavier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Christopher has managed to get both his arms back between Xavier's legs - danger averted.

Xavier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Christopher defends it easily.

Xavier is looking to cinch up a triangle. Christopher throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Xavier's body to avoid the submission. Xavier has instead reached around Christopher's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Xavier arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
