Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paddy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Millencolin - Happiness For Dogs . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowe is looking to slow Brown down with leg kicks.
Lowe throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Brown decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Brown looks to land a strike but Lowe avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Brown wants to control from the top but Lowe keeps moving.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Brown checks a leg kick.
Brown jabs Lowe to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lowe throws a leg kick which misses Brown's front leg but catches the back leg as Brown tries to avoid it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Brown has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Lowe lands a nice leg kick that just misses Brown's sensitive parts.

Lowe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground.
You get the feeling that Lowe really doesn't like being in this position too much.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brown goes for an armbar but Lowe turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lowe.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mike Lowe will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Brown wants to work for an arm triangle but Lowe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Brown controls Lowe momentarily but Lowe frees himself.
Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lowe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lowe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Brown misses with a hook
and Lowe counters with a leg kick.

and Lowe counters with a good low kick that Brown was not able to check.
Lowe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Brown takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lowe lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A swing and a miss from Brown.
Lowe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards.
Lowe avoids a punch combination nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Lowe misses the target.
Lowe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brown on the side of the head.
Brown has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lowe.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lowe.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lowe, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
