Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Richmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richmond comes to the cage accompanied by Dont Stop Me Now. Walker has chosen Another One Bites the Dust as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, John Walker!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt
and Richmond takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Richmond takes the fight into the clinch.
Richmond softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Walker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Walker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

It looks like John Walker has been cut.
Richmond darts in trying to clinch
and Walker counters with a series of strikes. Richmond will be more careful next time no doubt.
Charles Richmond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Richmond throws a leg kick that is checked
enabling Walker to counter with a crisp jab.
Richmond moves to clinch but Walker breaks away
and Walker counters with a nice low kick that buckles Richmond's knee momentarily.
Richmond lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Walker moves out of range as Richmond throws a body kick.
Walker connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Richmond momentarily.

Walker feints and then cracks Richmond's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Richmond down.

Good leg kick by Walker there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

John Walker dominated that round.

Richmond has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Walker lands a really nice looking cross but Richmond seems unphased.

As Richmond backs off Walker throws a huge counter combo but Richmond manages to avoid it all.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Walker makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Walker chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Richmond can pounce on him.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Walker checks a leg kick.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Richmond looks to land a left hand but Walker moved out of range nicely.
Richmond tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Walker makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Walker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Walker counters with a head kick. That will keep Richmond thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Richmond doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Richmond's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Richmond tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

and Walker counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Richmond is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Walker counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Oh Richmond is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
