Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andre Hendrix! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay Van Do! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Van Do wants to control but Hendrix is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hendrix is working for a kimura but Van Do is defending it quite comfortably.
Hendrix is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Van Do doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hendrix. Hendrix is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Van Do's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hendrix is working for a kimura but Van Do is defending it quite comfortably.

Hendrix has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Van Do defend it? Hendrix steps over the head and cranks it - Van Do is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hendrix!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Andre Hendrix! Andre Hendrix is the new bantamweight champion! Andre Hendrix decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
