Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Good Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Day comes into the arena with Hifana - Wamono blaring out of the sound system. Good Day has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Good Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, BJ Jay! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Day on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Good Day has been cut. Jay swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jay pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Day has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jay misses with a punch on the inside.
Jay is looking to break free of the clinch but Day has double underhooks. Jay wants to break the clinch but can't.
Day blocks an uppercut.
Jay swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Day fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Day stalling.
Jay tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Day lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Jay wants to get back to striking at distance but Day won't allow it.
Day lands on the inside with an uppercut. Jay is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Day is keeping busy. Day turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Day is looking to take a break and control but Jay is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Day is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jay has escaped the position, nice work there. Jay on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jay struggling a bit here. Day postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Day connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jay some visible discomfort.
Day grinds an elbow into Jay's temple. Day wants to control but Jay is keeping him busy. Day scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jay to see if he's OK. Day works to advance to full mount. Jay defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Day lands with some strikes. Day with the ground and pound from mount.
Jay is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Day unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Jay wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Day celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Good Day!
