Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chase Rowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jac Baclk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chase Rowe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jac Baclk!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rowe has closed the distance and engaged Baclk in a clinch.

Rowe is trying to trip Baclk. He has hold of a leg but Baclk is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rowe persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Baclk wants to sweep but no luck.
Baclk is pulling down on Rowe's head to control his posture.
Baclk throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Rowe connects with a couple of short punches.
Baclk looking to control but Rowe passes into half guard.
Rowe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baclk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baclk is looking to improve his position.
Rowe trying to control the pace.

Baclk controlling the position for now.
Rowe slows the pace down in half guard.
Baclk trying to control from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rowe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Rowe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rowe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rowe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Rowe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Baclk is proving hard to escape from.
Rowe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Baclk is looking to stand back up but Rowe counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Baclk.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, if Rowe is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rowe prevents Baclk from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rowe is thwarting Baclk's attempts to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Baclk, right into the meat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Baclk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Baclk avoiding damage as Rowe throws knees to the body.

Baclk pulls guard successfully.
Baclk tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Baclk looks winded!
Rowe stays in close to Baclk's body and controls the position.
Rowe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Baclk looking to control.
Rowe is stalling in the full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Baclk pushes Rowe off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chase Rowe dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Rowe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Baclk avoids it really well and circles away.
Baclk unleashes a big counter combination but Rowe bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Baclk is looking to clinch.
Rowe misses with a takedown attempt - Baclk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rowe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Baclk but Baclk pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Baclk tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chase Rowe. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rowe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Baclk looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rowe!
Rowe tries to escape but Baclk is in control.

Rowe is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Baclk swings around for an armbar but Rowe sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Baclk's guard.
Baclk is breathing heavily.
Rowe controls from within his opponent's guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rowe's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rowe lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Baclk manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rowe on his heels. He'll look to pass Rowe's guard now, I'm sure.
Rowe is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Baclk preventing the sweep.
Rowe wants to stand up but Baclk is controlling him.
Chase Rowe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rowe controls Baclk momentarily but Baclk frees himself.
Rowe is looking to stand up but Baclk isn't so interested in that idea.
Baclk wants to control from the top but Rowe keeps moving.

Rowe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Baclk is fending him off so far but Rowe persists. Nope, Baclk circles away and we're back to standing.
Baclk tries to counter by closing the distance.

Rowe gets caught flat footed, as Baclk shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

A close second round but Jac Baclk will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Rowe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Baclk takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rowe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Rowe is looking to improve his position but Baclk isn't that keen on the idea.
Baclk looking to ground and pound but Rowe is blocking nicely.
You get the feeling that Rowe really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Baclk connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Rowe wants to get back to his feet.
Rowe regains half guard.
Baclk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rowe keeps working.
Baclk throws a strike but Rowe avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Baclk shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rowe is trying to defend but Baclk finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Rowe wants to stand back up but Baclk manages to pass into side control.
Rowe is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Baclk advances nicely into full mount.
Rowe can't escape the position.
Rowe is working hard here to advance position.

Baclk throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Jac Baclk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Baclk has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
