The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flagstaff looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Flagstaff is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Buendia sees it coming and defends easily.
Flagstaff seems to be working for a kimura but Buendia defends the submission attempt.
Buendia is in trouble now - Flagstaff has advanced to mount!
Buendia can't escape the position.
Flagstaff jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Buendia is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Buendia and Flagstaff has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Buendia jerks Flagstaff's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Flagstaff drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Buendia goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Buendia because Flagstaff was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
