Drogo comes to the cage accompanied by Blessings - Big Sean FT Drake and Kanye West. Dieter Schmidt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt is looking to slow Drogo down with leg kicks.
Drogo darts in looking for a takedown but Schmidt gets double underhooks and turns Drogo into the cage.
Drogo shoots in looking for a takedown. Schmidt tries to sprawl out of it but Drogo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schmidt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Schmidt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

We've been hearing reports that Drogo has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Drogo is breathing heavily.
Schmidt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A solid leg kick lands there for Schmidt.
Schmidt throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Drogo tumbling to the canvas!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schmidt wants to get up but he can't break Drogo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Oh Drogo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schmidt is looking to work some ground and pound but Drogo has wrist control.
Drogo seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drogo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Drogo tries to get out of the position.

Schmidt throws the kick towards the body but Drogo avoids it.
Schmidt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Drogo.
A head kick lands from Schmidt that sends Drogo to the canvas. Drogo tries to scramble back to his feet but Schmidt brings him back down into side control.
Schmidt decides to stand up, so the ref orders Drogo to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Schmidt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Drogo doesn't seem bothered though.
Schmidt buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Schmidt throws a quick inside leg kick.
Drogo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Schmidt as he jumps to the side.

Drogo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Schmidt sprawls well. Schmidt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Drogo gets slowly back to his feet.
Drogo shoots in for a double leg but Schmidt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Schmidt catches Drogo napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Drogo to the canvas!
Khal Drogo's cut is getting worse.
Schmidt works a leg free and moves into half guard.
It looks like Schmidt is going to stand back up.
