Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmad Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Svenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Svenson has chosen Du Hast as his entrance music. Thor Svenson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ahmad Daniel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thor Svenson! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Daniel. No joy for Svenson on that attempt. Daniel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Svenson cracks Daniel with a right hand to the side of the head. Svenson has his takedown stuffed and Daniel counters with a big head kick but Svenson shrugs it off. Daniel fails with a takedown attempt. Svenson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniel pinned against the cage. Daniel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ahmad Daniel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thor Svenson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Svenson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Daniel. Svenson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daniel is fending him off so far but Svenson persists. Nope, Daniel circles away and we're back to standing. Svenson misses with a takedown and Daniel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svenson is looking to clinch but Daniel is avoiding it.
Daniel swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Daniel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Daniel has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Svenson finds it's way round the side to connect with Daniel's head. Daniel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Daniel wants it to stay on the feet. Svenson misses with a head kick.
Svenson tries to clinch there but Daniel circles away.
Daniel misses with a looping left. Svenson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daniel moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Svenson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Svenson connects with a single shot there. Daniel tries to clinch up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Svenson. Daniel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Svenson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daniel somewhat. Svenson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Daniel swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Svenson manages to break the clinch.
Daniel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Svenson but Svenson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Svenson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Svenson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Svenson tries a quick counter leg kick but Daniel is wise to it. Svenson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Svenson breaks the clinch.
Svenson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Daniel's guard. Svenson trying to control the position from guard on top but Daniel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Daniel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Daniel wants to get back to his feet but Svenson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Svenson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Svenson wants to control from the top but Daniel keeps moving. Svenson throws a strike but Daniel rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Svenson controls Daniel momentarily but Daniel frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Svenson has control of Daniel's left arm, preventing Daniel from doing any damage. Daniel preventing the sweep. Daniel tries to stand but Svenson is controlling from the bottom. Svenson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Svenson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Svenson striking off his back but it's not causing Daniel any problems. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thor Svenson dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Daniel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Daniel throws an overhand right that lands on Svenson's shoulder, as Svenson tries to avoid the shot. Svenson misses with a few strikes there.
Daniel lands with a cross. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Svenson rushes Daniel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Daniel wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Svenson has him pressed against the cage. Daniel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Svenson's efforts to push away. Daniel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Svenson smiles and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Svenson sprawls well. Svenson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daniel gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahmad Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Svenson misses with a jab, cross combination.
A jab from Svenson finds it's way through Daniel's defenses. Svenson clinches. Daniel wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Svenson has him pressed against the cage. Daniel is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Svenson is defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Daniel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Svenson moves into range and clinches up with Daniel. Svenson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Daniel takes one to the side of the head.
Svenson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Svenson just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromDaniel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniel throws a sloppy head kick and Svenson moves out of range easily. Daniel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Svenson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Svenson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Daniel keeping moving, preventing Svenson from controlling successfully. Svenson with a flurry of punches that miss. Svenson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Svenson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Daniel's guard. Svenson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Svenson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Svenson preventing the sweep.

Svenson wants to get up but he can't break Daniel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Daniel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Svenson defends well and Daniel ends up having to push Svenson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Svenson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Daniel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Svenson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Svenson showed some decent athleticism there. Svenson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Daniel has managed to free his arm - good work. Svenson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Svenson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Daniel is just riding it out for now. Svenson eventually gives up the hold. Daniel trying to control here.

Svenson clinches. Daniel ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Daniel no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Svenson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Daniel is proving hard to escape from. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Svenson postures up in Daniel's guard and throws a big left but Daniel blocks it. Svenson is looking to work some ground and pound but Daniel has wrist control. Daniel working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Svenson. Daniel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Svenson is controlling him. Daniel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Svenson's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Svenson can do anything to dispel that myth. Svenson is trying to control but Daniel passes into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Svenson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Daniel trying to control but he's not successful this time. Daniel manages to capitalize on a mistake by Svenson to take his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniel avoiding Svenson 's attempts to control his hands. Daniel looking to break Svenson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Svenson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Daniel will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Daniel has the hooks in. Svenson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Svenson is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Thor Svenson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Svenson breaks Daniel's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Svenson stays in close to Daniel's body and controls the position. Daniel wants to sweep but no luck. Svenson's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daniel has a closed guard, preventing Svenson from standing up.

Daniel won't allow Svenson to get back to his feet. Ahmad Daniel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Svenson managing to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ahmad Daniel. Well Svenson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
