Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elvis Pyuraid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pyuraid fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pyuraid is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pyuraid fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pyuraid avoids a punch combination nicely.
Frost tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pyuraid paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pyuraid shoots for a takedown but Frost saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Frost counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pyuraid won't be happy with that.

Frost changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pyuraid looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pyuraid is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Frost has just dragged him back down to the mat.

No joy there for Frost, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Frost throws a series of punches but Pyuraid avoids them all with ease.
Pyuraid throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Frost's waist but Frost gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pyuraid off to one side.
Nice uppercut lands for Pyuraid. That snapped Frost's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Frost looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Pyuraid rushes Frost and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The referee calls for Pyuraid to work.

Pyuraid is looking to control Frost's arms but Frost gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pyuraid has his back to the cage.

Frost stands and steps away. Pyuraid gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Frost stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pyuraid to get to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Frost shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Frost was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Frost stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pyuraid throws and low kick but Frost moves out of range easily.
Frost misses with a few strikes there.

That's time! Frost's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Frost counters with a nice leg kick.
Frost stalks Pyuraid and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pyuraid's face. Pyuraid staggers backwards, shaken.
Frost fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pyuraid misses with a looping right.

Pyuraid gets caught flat footed, as Frost shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pyuraid controls Frost momentarily but Frost frees himself.

Frost drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Frost jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Maximus Frost overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pyuraid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Frost stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pyuraid swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Frost sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Frost goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Pyuraid closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
