The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Martin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tikka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tikka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tikka is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Martin has denied him.

Martin tightens his grip and picks Tikka up, before dumping him to the ground. Tikka manages to land in guard.
Tikka will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Martin lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tikka is looking to stand up but Martin isn't so interested in that idea.

Martin is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tikka can't fight it off and eventually Martin manages to take the fight to the floor. Tikka looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tikka moves into range and clinches up with Martin.

Tikka is trying to maintain a safe position but Martin gets an underhook and turns Tikka into the cage.

Tikka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Martin goes for a double leg but Tikka avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tikka continues to drive forward.

Tikka is fighting off a takedown attempt but Martin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Tikka to the mat. Tikka regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

That's time! Back to the action!

Martin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Colton Martin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tikka is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Martin has latched onto it... Big trouble! Martin pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Tikka is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Martin!
