Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Ojeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beast Mode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eduardo Ojeda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Beast Mode! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mode shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. No joy there for Ojeda, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ojeda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ojeda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mode closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mode lands in his opponent's guard. Mode slips nicely into half guard. Ojeda tries to get to full guard but Mode has control of the leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mode controlling the action here. Mode throwing shots but Ojeda is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mode slows the pace down in half guard. Let's hope that Mode has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Mode. Mode trying to pass the guard but Ojeda defending well. Ojeda on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ojeda tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ojeda gets back to full guard.
Mode is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mode wants to pass the guard but Ojeda is keeping the position. Mode stands up and waves to Ojeda to follow him. Ojeda fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mode, pushing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ojeda misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ojeda blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Mode tries to work over Ojeda's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Mode is looking for a takedown. Mode drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ojeda pulls his leg out and moves away.
Eduardo Ojeda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beast Mode. Ojeda stuffs the takedown. Ojeda has Mode up against the cage in a clinch.
Mode has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ojeda avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ojeda is trying to pull guard but Mode turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Mode drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ojeda gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mode jumps guard but Ojeda stands there with Mode around his waist. Mode gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ojeda jumps guard and drags Mode to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Mode slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. My spies in Cozad MMA Los Angeles inform me that Mode has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Mode's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eduardo Ojeda dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mode closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mode lands in his opponent's guard. Mode postures up.
Mode controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ojeda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ojeda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mode defends well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mode controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ojeda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ojeda controls Mode momentarily but Mode frees himself. Mode wants to pass the guard but Ojeda is keeping the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mode shoots in for a takedown but Ojeda shows good takedown defense. Ojeda stuffs the takedown. Horrible takedown attempt by Mode or perhaps it was just good defense by Ojeda, which made it look bad. Eduardo Ojeda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beast Mode. Mode defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ojeda.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mode stuffs the takedown attempt from Ojeda. Ojeda gets slowly back to his feet. Mode wants to clinch. Mode fails with a takedown attempt. Ojeda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mode pinned against the cage. Mode gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ojeda tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ojeda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mode tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ojeda defends well and Mode ends up having to push Ojeda into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mode shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ojeda as he avoids it easily. Mode tries to clinch up but Ojeda circles away and keeps his distance. Ojeda circles away from the clinch attempt.
A head kick misses from Mode. Ojeda keeps the fight on the outside. Mode keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mode tries to clinch up but Ojeda circles away and keeps his distance. Ojeda is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mode. Mode tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ojeda shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ojeda was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mode bucks up and tries to throw Ojeda off but instead Ojeda has got his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mode is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Mode tries to escape but Ojeda has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Mode trying to control the hands but Ojeda breaks the grip. Mode is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Ojeda is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mode has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Mode trying to control the position but Ojeda manages to sink in the hooks. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mode is really stuck here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Eduardo Ojeda will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Mode looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mode tries to close the distance and clinch but Ojeda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mode tries a head kick but it misses.
Ojeda throws a head kick but Mode moves out of range.
Ojeda pushes Mode up against the cage in a clinch. Mode is looking to break free of the clinch but Ojeda has double underhooks. Ojeda stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Ojeda gets control of Mode's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ojeda will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Ojeda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mode is aware though and is defending well. Beast Mode has got the better of the ground game so far. Mode working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ojeda tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ojeda is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mode can do to turn this around? Ojeda managing to control the position. Mode's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mode distracts Ojeda with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mode drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ojeda manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mode has Ojeda in his guard. Mode wants to sweep here but Ojeda controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mode wants to stand and escape but Ojeda is having none of it. Ojeda loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mode looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ojeda is one step ahead there. Mode is pulling down on Ojeda's head to control his posture. Ojeda stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mode swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mode working for a triangle but Ojeda defends it easily.
Mode looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ojeda throws an elbow that misses. Mode uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ojeda's guard. Nice move by Mode! Mode stays in close to Ojeda's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mode is continuing to stall.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ojeda slaps away a takedown attempt from Mode, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ojeda looks for a takedown but Mode sprawls well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mode misses with a double jab.
Beast Mode has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Eduardo Ojeda is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ojeda looks for a takedown but Mode sprawls well. Mode is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eduardo Ojeda. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ojeda, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
