The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagat jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zito tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sagat swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sagat throws a jab when Zito was well out of range.
Sagat throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sagat fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Zito looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Zito tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A punch lands to the side of Zito 's head but he takes it in his stride.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sagat throws a hook but Zito blocks it.

Sagat drops Zito with a big left hand and mounts him. Zito is in big trouble!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Zito uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sagat.

Sagat is trying to maintain the position but Zito is very close to passing his half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zito throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Zito drops back looking for a leg! Sagat is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sagat manages to kick Zito off! Zito jumps back into Sagat's guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Zito postures up in Sagat's guard and throws a big left but Sagat blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sagat throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zito sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Zito rushes Sagat and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Zito misses with an elbow strike.
Zito tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Zito just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sagat's brow.
Zito stalls.
Zito has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sagat is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Sagat showed his dominance in that final round.
