Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyndon Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davie Budreau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davie Budreau will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davie Budreau!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Budreau tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ryan defends well and Budreau ends up having to push Ryan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lyndon Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davie Budreau.

Budreau drives through and clinches with Ryan against the cage.

Ryan is trying to drag Budreau to the mat but Budreau just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Budreau closes the distance and pushes Ryan back into the cage.

Ryan tries for a takedown. No joy.

Ryan has hold of one of Budreau's legs. Budreau is fighting the takedown attempt but Ryan gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Budreau manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Budreau wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Budreau tries to circle away but Ryan has him pinned against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Ryan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Budreau uses from the top position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Budreau is in a horrible position here. Ryan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Lyndon Ryan will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Ryan shoots in and bounces Budreau off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Budreau wants to get back to his feet but Ryan passes into half guard.

Ryan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Budreau defends it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ryan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Budreau to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Budreau closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ryan circles away.

Ryan tries to close the distance and clinch but Budreau swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

And Budreau responds with a good body kick, but Ryan manages to step out the way in time.

Ryan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Budreau fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Budreau pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Budreau fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Ryan is out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Budreau. No joy for Ryan on that attempt.
Budreau wants to counter the offense by Ryan and move into the clinch position.

Budreau has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ryan stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Budreau will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ryan up against the cage.
Davie Budreau seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Ryan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Davie Budreau comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ryan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
