Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter McBain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McBain's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Harder Than You Think by Public Enemy. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Peter McBain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donnie Jackson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson darts in and clinches McBain up against the cage. Jackson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McBain's elbow. Jackson leaning against his opponent.
McBain blocks a body shot from Jackson. McBain is pressed up against the cage. Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McBain down to the mat. McBain avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but McBain swats him away and circles back towards the center. McBain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jackson misses with a head kick.
McBain misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.
And Jackson tries to counter it with a takedown but McBain pushes his down on his head and steps out. McBain swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson looks for the body kick but McBain saw that one coming. McBain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson. McBain throws a body punch but Jackson moves out of range. Jackson feints the counter takedown. McBain swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McBain misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.
And Jackson tries to counter it with a takedown but McBain pushes his down on his head and steps out. McBain really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson tries to clinch up but McBain circles away and keeps his distance. McBain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jackson wants to clinch. McBain throws a wild combination but nothing lands. McBain lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. No joy there for McBain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McBain connects with a looping right hand.
McBain misses with an uppercut. Jackson wants to counter with a clinch but McBain pushes him away. McBain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McBain wants it to stay on the feet. Jackson shoots in for a takedown but McBain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Peter McBain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Jackson. McBain scores with a three punch combo!
That's two minutes gone in the round. McBain throws a body shot but no joy. Jackson tries to counter with a clinch but McBain shakes him off and moves away. McBain gets tackled into the cage by Jackson. Jackson maintains the clinch. McBain being controlled against the cage. Jackson tries a body shot but McBain blocks it.
McBain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson has managed to clinch.
Jackson tries to throw a body punch but McBain avoids it by throwing Jackson back against the cage. Jackson can't find room to land a body shot as McBain controls the action.
Jackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McBain has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson lands a hook to the side of the head. Jackson tries to score a body lock takedown but McBain shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but McBain pulls his leg out and moves away.

McBain is looking to wear down Jackson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. McBain swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson tries to clinch and McBain counters with a two punch combo. Thud! ouch! good body kick from McBain - that will leave a mark!
McBain scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. McBain misses with the combination.
McBain tries to land a leg kick but Jackson saw it coming and moves away.
Good work by McBain as he checks the leg kick. Jackson closes the distance and clinches. McBain stops a takedown attempt from Jackson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McBain prevents the takedown attempt.
Jackson has McBain pressed against the cage, preventing McBain from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Jackson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jackson trying to control but McBain is working from the bottom. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McBain swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but McBain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but McBain is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter McBain dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
McBain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson. McBain swinging wildly here.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting McBain here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. McBain leaves Jackson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The fighters circle momentarily. McBain darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jackson throws a head kick that misses. A head kick misses from Jackson. McBain is looking to counter punch. Jackson tries to clinch up. Peter McBain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McBain sizes up Jackson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Jackson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McBain. McBain obviously looking to wear him down.

McBain looks to land a combination but Jackson avoids it well. Jackson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jackson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. McBain's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McBain duly obliges. Some wild striking there from McBain.

Jackson wants to counter the offense by McBain and move into the clinch position. McBain connects with a right hand. Jackson shakes it off. McBain connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. McBain feints and then cracks Jackson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jackson down. McBain scores with a jab to the jaw. McBain misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McBain was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jackson wants to control from the top but McBain keeps moving. McBain wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him. McBain keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. McBain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but McBain keeps working. McBain is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jackson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jackson wants to control but McBain is keeping him busy. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. McBain prevents Jackson from moving into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jackson looking to control but instead McBain has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Jackson passes to full mount! Jackson wants to control but instead McBain manages to regain half guard. Jackson is stalling here. McBain is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jackson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McBain has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Jackson is trying to control McBain's posture but McBain avoids it. Jackson is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter McBain dominated that second round. That's time! McBain's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. It looks like McBain has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McBain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. As Jackson looks to move away, McBain throws a big counter combo but Jackson just gets out of the way. Peter McBain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McBain misses with a series of wild punches.
McBain pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McBain throws a quick inside leg kick. Jackson closes the distance and clinches. Jackson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by McBain after a bit of a struggle. McBain wants to break the clinch but can't.

Jackson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Jackson lands a right hand. Jackson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McBain pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jackson has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. McBain seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Jackson can turn it around.

and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Donnie Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for McBain! McBain wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Jackson wants to finish this one by submission but McBain is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jackson. Jackson looking to control and managing it successfully. Donnie Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to control but McBain wriggling away. McBain stops Jackson from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Jackson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jackson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Donnie Jackson. I think McBain has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
