Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Kingsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Blood of Heroes! as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Craig Johnson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson needs to keep his hands up - Kingsley had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Craig Johnson has been cut. Johnson cracks a nice hook into Kingsley's ribs. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kingsley, right into the meat.
Kingsley scores with a hook. Kingsley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kingsley with a nice cross. Kingsley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johnson misses with a few strikes there.

This has been an exciting period of action! Kingsley tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Johnson is able to avoid easily. Good exchange - Kingsley coming out on top. Kingsley looks for the body kick but Johnson saw that one coming. Johnson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kingsley was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson. Kingsley avoids the body shot from Johnson.

Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kingsley, pushing him back against the cage. We've been hearing reports that Kingsley has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A head punch on the inside from Johnson fails to land. Johnson misses with a body punch.
Kingsley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice body kick there by Kingsley. Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kingsley works over Johnson's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kingsley fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Johnson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kingsley throws a half hearted mid kick. Johnson throws out a counter right but Kingsley avoids it with no problem. Johnson throws a sloppy body shot
and Kingsley counters with a nice uppercut.
That has opened up Craig Johnson's cut even more. Kingsley is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson stuns Kingsley with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Johnson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Johnson misses with a left hand and Kingsley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Johnson lands a slapping body shot.

Kingsley bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Kingsley turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Johnson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kingsley.
Kingsley feinted there with a counter leg kick. Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kingsley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kingsley takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kingsley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Johnson. That did some damage! Kingsley with a nice cross. Kingsley throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range. Kingsley looks to land a body kick but Johnson moved away. A punch combination from Johnson misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kingsley throws a head kick that misses. Johnson moves out of range of the body kick from Kingsley.
Johnson's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Kingsley takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses. Johnson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Kingsley is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Kingsley swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Kingsley connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kingsley throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. A shot to the liver by Johnson. Beautiful body shot. Kingsley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kingsley moves away. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Kingsley sets himself, and Johnson steps forward looking for the clinch! Kingsley avoids it this time. Kingsley lands a leg kick that knocks Johnson off balance momentarily. Johnson misses with a right hand and Kingsley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Johnson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Kingsley does a little dance to reset his feet. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kingsley.

Kingsley seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Johnson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Johnson thuds a left hand into Kingsley's body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kingsley avoids the body shot from Johnson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kingsley bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Johnson's head. Johnson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Craig Johnson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Kingsley darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kingsley tries a head kick but it misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Johnson! But no joy. Johnson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kingsley on the side of the head. Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kingsley was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson. Johnson takes a swing at Kingsley's ribcage but misses. It looked like Kingsley wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Kingsley is just out of range. Kingsley throws a chopping leg kick but Johnson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Johnson misses with a few strikes there.
