Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendan Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brendan Solomon!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Solomon misses with a few strikes there.
Solomon misses with a wild combination.

Cash gets the takedown into side control.
Cash looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Solomon is avoiding damage well.
Solomon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cash wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Solomon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Cash feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cash drops back, looking for a kneebar! Solomon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Solomon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Solomon!

Solomon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cash moves away.
Cash tries to clinch but Solomon is having none of it.

Cash misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Solomon.
Solomon fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Solomon jumps guard but Cash stands there with Solomon around his waist. Solomon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Cash just misses with a elbow thrown towards Solomon's brow.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeff Cash.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cash, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
