Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Randy Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, DJ Money!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A big right from Stone misses.
Stone tries to bum rush Money with a series of wild strikes but Money uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stone displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


It looks like DJ Money has been cut.

Money closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stone to the mat! Stone manages to get full guard.
Money trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Money stops Stone from standing up.
Stone working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Money.
Money trying to move into half guard but instead Stone has managed to sweep!

Money trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stone is looking to stand up but Money won't let him.

Money has his foot on Stone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stone works his way back into a safe position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Money is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Money pulls Stone in close to his closed guard and prevents Stone from doing any damage or advancing position.
Stone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Money is trying to keep Stone in close.

Money pushes Stone off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Stone throws a left and a right that both miss
and Money counters with a one-two to the body.
Stone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Stone goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Some wild striking there from Stone.
Money dodges the punch combination from Stone.
Stone misses with a two punch combination.
Stone throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stone is breathing heavily.
Money shoots in for a takedown but Stone shows good takedown defense.
Money has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Money feints and as Stone raises his hands in defense, Money changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Money controlling from the top position.
Money stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stone swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Money is still trying to improve position.
Money trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stone preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stone lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Stone misses with a two punch combination.
Stone scores with a head kick.
Money shoots for a takedown but Stone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stone tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Money manages to circle out of the way.
Money slips a jab and a cross from Stone.
Stone throws a series of strikes that have Money backpedaling.
Stone looks to land a combination but Money avoids it well.
Stone keeps the fight on the outside.
Stone throws a head kick but Money moves out of range.
Money dives in for a single leg takedown but Stone sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Randy Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Money.
Money fails with a takedown attempt.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on DJ Money's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Stone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Money throws a head kick that Stone semi-blocks.
Stone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Money lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Stone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stone tries to land a front kick but Money steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Stone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Money closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Stone quickly recovers to half guard.

Stone makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Money is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Money slips under a jab.
Stone misses with a few strikes there.
Stone throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Money counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Money controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Money wants to pass the guard but Stone is keeping the position.
Money throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Money content to stall in guard here.
Money wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.
DJ Money has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A combination from Stone does no damage.
Money raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
No joy there for Stone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Money fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stone to the ground. Money is now in Stone's guard.
Money's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Money is continuing to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stone keeping moving, preventing Money from controlling successfully.
Money looking to sit in guard and control but Stone gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Money is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Money takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stone looks like he's trying to stand up.
Money throwing shots but Stone is blocking nicely.

Money is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Stone is refusing to be controlled, as Money sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Randy Stone will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on DJ Money's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A little feinted left hand from Stone on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Randy Stone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Money moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Money.

Stone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stone wants it to stay on the feet.
Randy Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DJ Money.

Money is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Stone can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Money controls the pace.

Money throws a big counter head kick but Stone avoids it with no problem.

Money drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Stone is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Money can do to turn this around?
Stone tries to escape but Money is in control.
Randy Stone is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Money in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Money tries to advance position but instead Stone slips a leg back in to half guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
