The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slone thows a leg kick but Smiff checks it

and Smiff counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smiff.
Slone is looking to stand back up but Smiff counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Slone.

Slone blocking the ground and pound attempt from Smiff.
Smiff wants to control but Slone is keeping him busy.

Smiff seems to be working for a kimura but Slone defends the submission attempt.
Smiff is trying to control the action in half guard but Slone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slone is positioning himself well to prevent Smiff advancing to mount.
Slone is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Smiff scores with a couple of nice shots.
Slone is looking to improve his position.

Smiff scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Smiff is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Smiff lands a big elbow - Slone is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Slone is forced to tap out!

Diatomaceous Smiff tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
