PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Donald McTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Free Agent Steel Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Donald McTavish has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Donald McTavish seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Donald McTavish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Free Agent Steel Penn!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McTavish closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Steel Penn swings for the body but McTavish moves out of range.
McTavish was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
McTavish rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Steel Penn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Steel Penn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McTavish is trying to stand up here but Steel Penn is controlling him well.
McTavish tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Steel Penn manages to move to mount!
You get the feeling that McTavish really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Steel Penn tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

McTavish has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Steel Penn is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Donald McTavish will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McTavish, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
