Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Morton!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Harrison fails in his attempt to clinch.

Morton has closed the distance and engaged Harrison in a clinch.

Morton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harrison avoids a punch combination nicely.
Morton misses with a double jab.
Harrison swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Mark Morton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Harrison dives in and scores a takedown into Morton's guard.
Harrison lands a couple of digs.
Harrison postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Harrison drops back looking for a leg! Morton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morton manages to kick Harrison off! Harrison jumps back into Morton's guard.

Harrison throws a strike but Morton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Harrison throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Morton escapes and throws Harrison's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Morton is putting a hurting on Harrison here, landing some big shots from side control.
Harrison is trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morton lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Harrison down.
Morton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harrison keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Harrison's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Harrison tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Morton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Harrison is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Morton is putting a hurting on Harrison here, landing some big shots from side control.
Harrison is looking to reverse the position.

Morton decides to stand back up. Morton steps back and let's Harrison get back to his feet.

Morton moves into range and clinches up with Harrison.
Morton putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Harrison in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Harrison is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Morton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Morton successfully pulls guard.
Morton controls Harrison momentarily but Harrison frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Morton dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Morton works over Harrison's head and body with a nice combination.

Morton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harrison is looking for a sweep.
Harrison might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Morton is breathing heavily.

Morton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Harrison pushes Morton away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Morton gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Morton lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Harrison down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harrison defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Morton's arms.
Harrison turns into Morton and is now in his guard.

Morton has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Harrison off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Morton gets tackled into the cage by Harrison. Harrison maintains the clinch.

Harrison throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Harrison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Morton shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Morton showed some decent athleticism there.
Morton is looking to take a break and control but Harrison is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Harrison tries to roll over but Morton keeps him under control.

Mark Morton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Harrison has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Morton is on him like a limpet, forcing Harrison back against the cage.

Morton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Harrison tries a knee to the head but Morton blocks it.

Harrison is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morton wants to control from the top but Harrison keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Harrison looking to hit a scissor sweep but Morton is one step ahead there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Morton keeps the fight on the outside.
Morton raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Morton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Harrison has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Harrison shoots for a double leg takedown but Morton sprawls well. He's pushed Harrison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Harrison has his takedown stuffed
and Morton makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A head kick misses from Morton.

Morton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mark Morton.
Well Morton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
