The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgundy looks to score with a jab to the body but Nanahara is just out of range.
Nanahara flicks out a counter leg kick but Burgundy steps away.
Burgundy scores with a nice strike.
Nanahara looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nanahara throws a one two combo.
It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut.
Nanahara uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Burgundy.
Burgundy throws a looping overhand right but Nanahara ducks down to avoid it.
Burgundy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nanahara sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A jab from Nanahara misses.
It looked like Burgundy was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Nanahara misses with a two punch combination.
Nanahara lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Burgundy sends Nanahara crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Burgundy is motioning to the referee to let Nanahara up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Shuya Nanahara has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burgundy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little jabbing left from Nanahara on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
No joy there for Nanahara, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nanahara takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Burgundy throws a leg kick but Nanahara moved away.
Nanahara throws a nice looking combination but Burgundy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Burgundy cracks Nanahara with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nanahara looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Burgundy finish him?
Nanahara is still on wobbly legs! Can Burgundy finish him?
Nanahara throws a big shot that misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Burgundy misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nanahara will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nanahara seems to have recovered his senses.
Burgundy swings away with a body shot that misses
and Nanahara counters with a straight right hand.
Burgundy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nanahara.
Burgundy misses with a double jab
and Nanahara counters with a stiff right hand.
Burgundy steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nanahara. That one must have hurt.
Nanahara connects with a solid leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Burgundy.
Nanahara connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Burgundy's hands.
Burgundy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nanahara.
Burgundy misses with a hook
and Nanahara counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Burgundy cracks Nanahara with a right hand to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Burgundy walks into a jab.
Nanahara scores with a jab to the jaw.
Burgundy is rocked!
Nanahara scores with a hook to the body. Burgundy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Oh Burgundy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nanahara lands with a right and another and another! Burgundy is in big trouble! Nanahara lands again and this time it's lights out for Burgundy! A quality knockout there for Nanahara.

After winning the bout, Shuya Nanahara thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
