Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tweedle Dum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nelson Pervis!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dum slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Dum drops Pervis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pervis looks back up at him and smiles so Dum waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Pervis is rocked!
Dum waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pervis.
Pervis is still on wobbly legs! Can Dum finish him?
Dum really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pervis with a lazy takedown attempt
and Dum moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pervis doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Dum.
Dum works on Pervis's body with a couple of short punches.
Pervis seems to have recovered his senses.
Dum pushes Pervis back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dum scores with a shoulder strike.
Dum lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Dum creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Pervis's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Pervis drops to his knees and Dum pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tweedle Dum!
Tweedle Dum gave a mention to Leviathan Clothing in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
