The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Linguine counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Emelianenko jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Linguine walks away with a smile on his face. Emelianenko gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Emelianenko drives through and clinches with Linguine against the cage.

Emelianenko jumps into guard, dragging Linguine to the mat.
Linguine wanted to stand there but Emelianenko had control of the position.
Emelianenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Linguine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Linguine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
