Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raymundo Mathis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raymundo Mathis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sean Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mathis but Mathis pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hunter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mathis throws a big elbow that misses.

Hunter looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mathis passes into side control.
Hunter is trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunter looking for a sweep but Mathis has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Hunter tries to lock up and control but Mathis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mathis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hunter wants to hold on but Mathis pushes him away.

Hunter pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mathis shoots in and bounces Hunter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mathis tries to stand but Hunter is controlling from the bottom.
Mathis lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hunter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Hunter controls Mathis momentarily but Mathis frees himself.

Mathis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hunter napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Horrible takedown attempt by Hunter or perhaps it was just good defense by Mathis, which made it look bad.

Mathis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunter tries to reverse the position but Mathis maintains control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Raymundo Mathis will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Mathis shoots in looking for a takedown but Hunter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mathis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mathis closes the distance and clinches.

Mathis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hunter enables Mathis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hunter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hunter lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mathis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
