Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nik Plosanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nik Plosanski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Jones! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Plosanski. Plosanski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Plosanski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Plosanski pinned against the cage. Plosanski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jones checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Jones throws a right and a left that Plosanski avoids nicely. Plosanski went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Plosanski fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a crisp one two that drops Plosanski! Jones thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Plosanski to his feet! Plosanski is in big trouble!
Plosanski is rocked! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nik Plosanski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones clinches. Plosanski drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jones gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Plosanski has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Plosanski prevents it.
Plosanski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones is looking to score with low kicks. Plosanski has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jones lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Plosanski landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Plosanski jumps guard.
Jones slips nicely into half guard. Plosanski is breathing heavily. Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. Plosanski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jones gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Plosanski moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Plosanski fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones connects with the punch. Plosanski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Nik Plosanski has been cut. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Jones has cracked Plosanski with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Jones lands another huge swinging hook and Plosanski tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Plosanski, before Jones can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ben Jones!
