Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ilbert Tash!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Tash.
Tash misses with a right hand
and Knight counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tash blocks a head kick by Knight.

Tash closes the distance and clinches.
Tash working aggressively here.

Tash breaks the clinch.
Tash misses with a body kick.
Knight wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight slips a straight right by Tash.

Tash moves into the clinch.
Tash looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Knight wants to get back to striking at distance but Tash won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Knight's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Knight fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tash manages to avoid it.

Tash has closed the distance and engaged Knight in a clinch.

Tash's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tash misses with a looping right.

Tash forces Knight back against the cage and clinches.

Tash breaks from the clinch.

Tash closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Tash pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Knight ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Knight misses with a hook. Tash ducked under it nicely.
Tash misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Tash.
Tash throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Knight.
Ilbert Tash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tash darts in and clinches Knight up against the cage.

Tash's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Knight has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Tash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Knight scores with a decent looking hook.
Knight rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tash moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Knight is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Tash clinches up with Knight and pushes him back against the cage.

Tash lands a hook to the side of the head.
A right hook to the body lands for Tash.

Tash breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knight waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tash.
Tash clobbers Knight with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Knight dodges the punch combination from Tash.
Knight shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tash as he avoids it easily.
Tash is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Tash blocks a jab.
Tash throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Knight cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Tash moves into the clinch.
Knight wants to break the clinch but can't.
Knight is looking to break free of the clinch but Tash has double underhooks.

Tash's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Tash clinches.

Tash breaks the clinch.
Tash cracks a nice hook into Knight's ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Knight misses with a straight right.
Tash swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tash moves into range and clinches up with Knight.

Tash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Knight throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Knight takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tash throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tash attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
As Tash looks to move away, Knight throws a big counter combo but Tash just gets out of the way.
Danga de danga de dang - Tash scores with a four punch combination!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ilbert Tash dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Knight throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tash counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Knight misses with a straight left.
Tash throws a lazy right hand but Knight sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Tash rushes Knight and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Tash breaks from the clinch.
Knight misses with a few strikes there.
Knight looks to land a combination but Tash avoids it well.
Tash throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tash has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tash lands with a straight right. Knight didn't see that one coming.
Tash with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Knight to score with a decent uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tash throws an off balance right hand
and Knight counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Knight keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tash misses with a looping right.
Tash uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Knight has time to react.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knight manages to avoid it.
Knight throws a head kick but Tash moves out of range.

Tash ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Knight moves away.
Tash looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

As Tash looks to move away, Knight throws a big counter combo but Tash just gets out of the way.

Knight is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Knight is rocked!


It looks like Patrick Knight has been cut.
Tash connects with a superb combination that knocks Knight out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Tash before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Knight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ilbert Tash! Ilbert Tash retains his welterweight title!
Ilbert Tash really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Lion Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
