Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frederick White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frederick White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Black!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black has White up against the cage in a clinch.
Black gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from White.
Black keeps the fight in the clinch, despite White's efforts to push away.

White pulls guard effortlessly.

White pushes Black off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Nice jab there from Black.

It looks like Frederick White has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Black throws a sloppy head kick

so White counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Black tries to land a sweep but no joy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
White working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

White stands up from Black's guard - White perhaps looking for a knockout.
Black throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Black gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
White throws an elbow but it misses.
White dodges an elbow strike from Black.

Black breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Black has White up against the cage in a clinch.
White jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Black walks away with a smile on his face. White gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Black misses with a leg kick

and White counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Black!

Black bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Black misses with a hook
and White counters with a thumping low kick.
Black thuds a left hand into White's body.

Black pushes White up against the cage in a clinch.
White blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Black prevents White from breaking the clinch.
Black lands with a left to the head.

Black gets a trip takedown into half guard.

White kicks Black off and gets back to his feet.

Black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. White looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

White sneaks out the side door and pushes Black away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Black rushes White with punches - White moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, White goes down! Black follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joey Black!
