Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacks Sole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cung Lee!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sole scores with a jab to the jaw.
Lee checks a leg kick.
Sole on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nice sprawl there from Lee as Sole shoots in.
Lee has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sole.

Lee missing with a left hand there. Sole was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sole shoots in looking for a takedown but Lee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sole's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Cung Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Lee scores with a one two! Sole had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Lee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sole stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sole wants the takedown. Lee is fighting it off but Sole persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lee's guard against the cage.
Sole won't allow Lee to get back to his feet.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Sole fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee manages to avoid it.
Lee scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Lee tries to land a front kick but Sole steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Lee counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Lee throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sole sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sole clobbers Lee with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Sole looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Lee gets caught napping as Sole dives in and scores a takedown. Lee manages to retain guard.
Lee has Sole pulled in close to control his posture.
Lee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Lee wants to stand and escape but Sole is having none of it.

Sole has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lee finds it's way round the side to connect with Sole's head.

Sole thows a body kick. Lee tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Lee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sole has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lee throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sole misses the shot to the body.
Good leg kick by Lee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Sole is just out of range.

A decent looking cross lands there for Sole.
Lee wants to clinch up but Sole keeps it at a distance.

Jacks Sole is winning the standup battle so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lee misses with a body kick.
Sole looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Sole misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee wants to counter with a clinch but Sole pushes him away.
Lee seems to have recovered his senses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sole crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lee - the referee stops the clock and Sole gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lee. Sole manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Sole counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lee won't be happy with that.
Sole tries to score with some ground and pound. Lee controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

That was a close round but Jacks Sole did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sole throws an elbow that misses. Lee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sole's guard. Nice move by Lee!

Sole is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lee defends well.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sole holds on and takes a little breather.

Sole isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lee stacks Sole on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lee!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lee wants to control but Sole is keeping him busy.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Jacks Sole will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Sole lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Sole throws a solid leg kick but Lee takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sole.

Lee's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Lee's corner calls for a 1-2. Lee obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Lee is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?

Sole digs a good hook to Lee's body.
Lee stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sole.
Lee throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Lee gets caught flat footed, as Sole shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jacks Sole is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Jacks Sole showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sole, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
