Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Anderson! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Church defends well and Anderson ends up having to push Church into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. As Anderson looks to move away, Church throws a big counter combo but Anderson just gets out of the way. Church moves into the clinch. Church can't get the takedown.
Church jumps guard but Anderson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Church pulls guard. Anderson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Church moves into full guard.
Anderson with a flurry of punches that miss. Church controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Church keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully. Church trying to control the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Anderson fails with the takedown. Anderson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Church's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Church throws an elbow that misses. Anderson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Church's guard. Nice move by Anderson! Anderson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Church wants to get back to his feet but Anderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Church looking for a sweep. Not yet Church, not yet. Church is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Anderson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Church wants to get back to his feet but Anderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Church went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Anderson darts in and clinches Church up against the cage. Church has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Anderson after a bit of a struggle. Anderson pushes Church back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Anderson uses from the top position.
