Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff is trying hard to land a takedown here. Majdanic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Smiff avoids the head kick by Majdanic.
Smiff drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Majdanic defends it well.

Smiff fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Majdanic to the ground. Smiff is now in Majdanic's guard.

Majdanic has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Smiff off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Majdanic darts in looking for a takedown but Smiff gets double underhooks and turns Majdanic into the cage.

Smiff works Majdanic's body with a nice hook.

Smiff closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smiff has Majdanic pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Smiff pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Majdanic tumbling to the mat - Smiff dives into Majdanic's guard.

Majdanic is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Smiff controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Smiff landing with the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smiff accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Smiff slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Majdanic trying to keep a closed guard but Smiff is proving a slippery customer.
Majdanic looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Majdanic being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Majdanic is looking for a triangle but Smiff pushes his legs off easily.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Smiff counters with a nice double leg into side control. Majdanic won't be happy with that.
Majdanic is looking to get back to his feet here but Smiff is keeping cool and he's managed to take Majdanic's back.

Smiff gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

Smiff is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Majdanic with him. Majdanic is trying to defend but Smiff has an arm under the chin now! Majdanic grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Diatomaceous Smiff decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
