Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julian May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zuberi Toure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julian May has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Julian May! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zuberi Toure! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! May gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Toure to score an easy takedown into full guard. May pushes Toure off and gets back to his feet.
May darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. May content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Toure looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toure has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. May is working away from the top position though. Toure looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. May is looking for a kimura but Toure is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for May to get the leverage. Toure gets back to full guard.
May content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. May could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. May postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Toure throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
May has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Toure keeping moving, preventing May from controlling successfully. May content to stall in guard here. May gets to his feet - Toure follows without any prompting. May fails with the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. May misses with a takedown attempt - Toure sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. May fails in his attempt to clinch. Toure tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Toure circles away from the clinch attempt.
Toure shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. May keeping control of the position. Toure is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so May is just riding it out for now. Toure eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toure keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Toure is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
May knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Toure on the ground. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Toure seems to be looking for submissions.
Toure wants to pass to mount but May is defending the position. May is staying active underneath Toure, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Julian May will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
May tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Toure paws at him with a jab and circles away. May fails with an attempt to clinch.
May tries to clinch but Toure moves out of range. Nice shot by May. May forces Toure back against the cage and clinches. May jumps guard and drags Toure to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Toure wants to control from the top but May keeps moving. Toure stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. May swivels though and keeps the full guard. Toure trying to control the position from guard on top but May is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. May is adopting a defensive guard. Toure wants to control from the top but May keeps moving. Toure wants to pass the guard but May is keeping the position. Toure drops back, looking for a kneebar! May looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. May looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from May! Toure is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Julian May overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toure is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but May pulls his head out easily. May throwing shots but Toure is blocking nicely. May tries to stand but his arm is trapped. May is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Toure wants to control but May is keeping busy.
May is trying to work for a kimura but Toure is defending well.
May is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Toure can do to turn this around? Toure is looking to control May's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Toure avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toure might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control May haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Toure is holding on to half guard well. May controlling the action here. Toure gets full guard. Toure looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Toure trying to keep a closed guard but May is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Toure is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but May frees his head nicely. Oh but Toure has switched to an armbar! May is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
