Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rauli Raunio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raunio's entrance music is For Heavy Metal we will die!. A fine choice. Tyson Kahn acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahn thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kahn takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kahn lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Raunio ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kahn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Raunio stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kahn walks into a left hand.
Kahn misses with a left hand
and Raunio counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kahn connects with a nice looking jab.
Raunio avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
We've been told by Raunio's head coaches at Heavy Metal that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kahn fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Raunio moves out of range of the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A little jabbing left from Kahn on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've been informed that Kahn has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Raunio shoots in for a double leg but Kahn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Raunio looks to score with a jab to the body but Kahn is just out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Raunio.

Tyson Kahn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Raunio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kahn.
Raunio dives in for a single leg takedown but Kahn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Raunio ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kahn moves away.

and Raunio decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kahn's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kahn has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Raunio has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Raunio wants a takedown but no success here.

Raunio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tyson Kahn will probably get the nod.
That's time! Raunio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kahn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Raunio manages to get himself to full guard.
Kahn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Raunio is looking for a triangle here but Kahn uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Raunio gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Raunio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kahn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Raunio is just riding it out for now. Kahn eventually gives up the hold.
Kahn passes to side control.
Kahn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Raunio, who protects the arm well.
Raunio is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kahn off and has taken his back!
Kahn is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Raunio throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Raunio doesn't have the hooks in and Kahn manages to turn into his guard.
Kahn wants to control from the top but Raunio keeps moving.

Kahn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Raunio haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

He's locked it up tight! Kahn's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Raunio picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!

A very excited looking Rauli Raunio rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
