Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lenerd Lawrence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Elvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elvis has chosen Elvis Presley - In The Ghetto as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lenerd Lawrence! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Elvis! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elvis misses the jab. Lawrence shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Elvis but Elvis pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lawrence fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Elvis sprawls well initially but Lawrence persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lawrence not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Lawrence works his foot free and advances to mount. Lawrence has hold of Elvis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Elvis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Elvis is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Lawrence is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Elvis has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lawrence jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Elvis is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Elvis and Lawrence has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elvis is trying to improve his position. Elvis can't do much from the bottom here. Elvis is trying to get back to his feet. Elvis manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Lawrence thows a huge punch but Elvis dodges it nicely.

The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Elvis pushes Lawrence off looking to stand but Lawrence dives back in and keeps control.
Lawrence is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Elvis is just riding it out for now. Lawrence eventually gives up the hold. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Elvis can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nice takedown defense from Elvis. No joy for Lawrence on that attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lawrence shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Elvis as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lenerd Lawrence. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lawrence takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Lawrence fails to land the takedown. Lawrence fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lawrence shoots in looking for a takedown. Elvis tries to sprawl out of it but Lawrence keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Elvis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawrence throws and low kick but Elvis moves out of range easily. Elvis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Elvis in particular looking to stall. I looks like Elvis might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Lawrence gets full guard. Elvis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lawrence working for a triangle but Elvis defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Elvis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Elvis wants to stand but Lawrence is controlling his posture from full guard. Elvis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Lawrence ducks under a wild hook from Elvis. Lawrence ducks right into an uppercut from Elvis. Lawrence shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Elvis counters with a lovely straight right hand! He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Elvis wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Elvis lands strikes from half guard. Lawrence is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Elvis pulls his head out easily. Lawrence tries to roll over but Elvis keeps him under control. Still in half guard, Elvis seems content to control. Elvis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Elvis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lawrence with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Elvis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lawrence wants to control but Elvis is keeping busy and won't allow it. That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Elvis connects with a nice short shot to Lawrence's temple.

Lenerd Lawrence seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Elvis throws a lazy right hand but Lawrence sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lawrence gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Elvis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lenerd Lawrence. That's going to take a lot out of him. Elvis takes a swing at Lawrence's ribcage but misses. Elvis misses with a low kick. Elvis connects with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Elvis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Lawrence shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Elvis is looking to control Lawrence's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Elvis avoid being mounted? Elvis is looking for a sweep. Lawrence is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Elvis wants to get back to his feet. Lawrence seems to be working for a kimura but Elvis defends the submission attempt. Lawrence not landing any meaningful shots this time. Elvis is trying to maintain the position but Lawrence is very close to passing his half guard. Elvis wants to get back to his feet. Diego Elvis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Lawrence bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Lawrence shoots and misses and Elvis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lawrence's guard. Elvis advances position into side control! Elvis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Elvis is looking to take a break and control but Lawrence is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Elvis moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Elvis wants to control but Lawrence is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Lawrence's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lawrence actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lawrence looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Elvis lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Elvis scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Elvis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lawrence with a short hammerfist. Despite being in the dominant position, Diego Elvis just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lawrence fails with the takedown and Elvis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elvis working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Elvis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lawrence is looking for a triangle but Elvis pushes his legs off easily.

Diego Elvis has got the better of the ground game so far. Elvis stays in close to Lawrence's body and controls the position. Lawrence has his foot on Elvis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Elvis works his way back into a safe position though. Lawrence being controlled here, momentarily. Elvis landing some decent shots from guard. Elvis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lenerd Lawrence has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Diego Elvis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Elvis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
