Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Elvis Glass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gregor Ivanisovic! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glass closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Glass lands in his opponent's guard. Ivanisovic looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Ivanisovic throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Glass stands and steps away. Ivanisovic gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ivanisovic misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ivanisovic just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromGlass. Glass shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ivanisovic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Glass cracks Ivanisovic with a solid left hand. Glass lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Glass wanted to stand there but Ivanisovic had control of the position. Glass stands and steps away. Ivanisovic gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Glass scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glass stands up and beckons Ivanisovic to his feet. Glass closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ivanisovic circles away. Glass manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ivanisovic on his heels. He'll look to pass Ivanisovic's guard now, I'm sure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Glass trying to control the position from guard on top but Ivanisovic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Glass stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ivanisovic gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Glass's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Glass slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Glass with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ivanisovic has momentary wrist control but Glass slips an elbow through the middle. Glass tries to stand but Ivanisovic is controlling from the bottom. Glass trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Glass looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ivanisovic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ivanisovic is working an open guard so Glass takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Glass drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glass has hold of Ivanisovic's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ivanisovic seems comfortable defending it but Glass has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ivanisovic is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ivanisovic is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Glass couldn't care less - he's delighted!
