Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chase Rowe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James David! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David lands a jab.
It looks like Chase Rowe has been cut. Rowe tries to keep at a distance but David has taken the fight into the clinch. David wants to get back to striking at distance but Rowe won't allow it.
David gets a trip takedown into half guard. David is figuring out what he wants to do next. Rowe is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of David's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take David's back! David trying to control the action but Rowe just sinks the hooks in. Rowe slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Rowe seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down David for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round. David tries to escape but Rowe has the hooks in and won't let him break free. David is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Rowe biding his time, looking for the opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. David rolls, trying to escape but Rowe keeps control of the position.
David breaks Rowe's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Rowe keeping moving, preventing David from controlling successfully. Rowe is looking to stand up but David isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. David gets to his feet - Rowe follows without any prompting. David throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rowe tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. David is in Rowe's guard. Rowe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst David is controlling him. David throws a big elbow that misses. Rowe wriggles free and stands up. David takes the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables David to keep the fight standing. David pulls guard effortlessly. David wants to stand but Rowe is controlling the position. David working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rowe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rowe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. David wants to sweep here but Rowe controlling him for the moment. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as David holds on and takes a little breather.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rowe stays in close to David's body and controls the position. Rowe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. David looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rowe is one step ahead there. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. David not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. David tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A quick step to the side and Rowe tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James David dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chase Rowe's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
David misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
David drives through with a takedown into Rowe's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Rowe looking for a sweep. Not yet Rowe, not yet. David pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rowe is keeping the position for now. David not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. David's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. More stalling from David.
That's one minute gone in the round. David stops Rowe from standing up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. David drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. David pushes down on Rowe's leg and manages to get into half guard. David has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rowe is looking for a sweep. David is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. David controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. David gets to his feet - back to striking we go! David clinches up against the cage. David is trying to break the clinch but Rowe is controlling him. Rowe is looking to take this one to the mat. David pulls guard effortlessly. David is pulling down on Rowe's head. It's preventing any offense from Rowe, at least for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowe won't allow David to sweep him here. Rowe trying to control but David is working from the bottom. David managing to control the position. David is looking for a triangle but Rowe pushes his legs off easily.
David wants to sweep here but Rowe controlling him for the moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. James David is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rowe tries to close the distance and clinch up but David swats him away and circles back towards the center. David drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rowe is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. David presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. David turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Rowe is looking to get back to his feet here but David is keeping cool and he's managed to take Rowe's back. David patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? David is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rowe manages to reverse the position and now he's in David's guard. Nice work there by Rowe.

James David showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chase Rowe's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
David fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
David fails in his attempt to clinch. David lands with a nice body punch. Rowe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around David's waist but David gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rowe off to one side. Rowe goes for a double leg but David avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as David continues to drive forward. David shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than David was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rowe throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rowe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chase Rowe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rowe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. David defends it nicely. David steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Rowe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oooooh!!! David has knocked Rowe down with a huge combo! David steps away and waves a wobbly Rowe back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Rowe is rocked! Rowe gets tackled into the cage by David. David maintains the clinch. Oh Rowe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! David tries to break the clinch but Rowe is controlling the position. David gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. David decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. David shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rowe napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ground and pound from David seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. David works to advance to full mount. Rowe defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Rowe tries to buck David off but David takes his back! David working for the choke. David patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
That's two minutes gone in the round. David thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Rowe covering up well under a barage of strikes. Rowe seems to have got his legs back now. David really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Rowe. David misses with an elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowe is in bad spot here.
David keeps control of the position easily here as Rowe tries to buck him off.
David gets his hands free as Rowe looks to control. David patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Rowe is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by David.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Let's hope that David has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rowe rolls, trying to escape but David keeps control of the position.

Rowe just trying to survive but David is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Even with his hooks in, David manages to miss with strikes from the back.
And that's the end of the fight! James David comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well David has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
