Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cody Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Darkstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darkstar comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Panic at the Disco Emperor's Clothes kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Felix Darkstar has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cody Garza's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darkstar lands a big head kick that sends Garza tumbling to the mat! Darkstar takes a step backwards and waves Garza back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Cody Garza has been cut.
Darkstar shoots in looking for a takedown. Garza tries to sprawl out of it but Darkstar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Darkstar cracks Garza with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Garza looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Darkstar finish him?

Garza is rocked!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Darkstar moves into the clinch.

Garza manages to break the clinch.
Darkstar misses with a takedown attempt - Garza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cody Garza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Darkstar.

Darkstar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Garza is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Darkstar drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Garza gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Garza wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Darkstar has him pressed against the cage.

Darkstar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Garza is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Garza has escaped and now he's on top!

Darkstar wants to improve his position but instead Garza has moved into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Darkstar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Garza lands a big shot there that rocks Darkstar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Garza has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Darkstar's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Garza is landing with some decent strikes but Darkstar is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
