Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Iain Reilly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Stampfer! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Reilly or perhaps it was just good defense by Stampfer, which made it look bad. Reilly closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stampfer to the mat! Stampfer manages to get full guard. Stampfer kicks Reilly off and gets to his feet. Iain Reilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stampfer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Reilly gets the takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stampfer pushes Reilly away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Reilly gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Reilly misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Stampfer is looking for a sweep. Stampfer defending against the ground and pound. Stampfer explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Reilly misses with a body shot.

Reilly throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Stampfer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stampfer staying out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reilly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Stampfer on the side of the head. A big left from Reilly misses. Reilly seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Stampfer tries to clinch up. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Stampfer connects with a nice looking jab.
It looks like Iain Reilly has been cut. Some wild striking there from Reilly.

Stampfer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Reilly napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reilly is looking for a sweep. Stampfer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reilly keeps working. Stampfer lands a strong strike to the head of Reilly. That's dazed him! Stampfer looking to finish here. Reilly is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Stampfer lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
