Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Krejzi Kure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pikku Pioneeri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kure comes into the arena with BIG SHUG - who's hard blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Pioneeri's choice of entrance music: Lenin-setä asuu Venäjällä. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Krejzi Kure! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pikku Pioneeri! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Kure. Pioneeri tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pioneeri tests Kure's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kure shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Kure's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kure duly obliges. Pioneeri throws a sloppy head kick and Kure moves out of range easily. Kure takes a swing at Pioneeri's ribcage but misses. Kure throws a hook but Pioneeri avoids it easily. Pioneeri throws an overhand right that lands on Kure's shoulder, as Kure tries to avoid the shot. Pioneeri slips a jab from Kure. Pioneeri avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kure takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This has been an exciting period of action! Kure on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Pioneeri fails to land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pioneeri gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kure got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pioneeri has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kure has managed to get both his arms back between Pioneeri's legs - danger averted. Kure slips nicely into half guard. Pioneeri is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kure pulls his head out easily. Pioneeri is refusing to be controlled, as Kure sits in half guard. Pioneeri looking for submissions off his back. That's two minutes gone in the round. Kure is trying to control the action in half guard but Pioneeri is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kure working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pioneeri is looking to control Kure's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pioneeri avoid being mounted? Pioneeri is defending against the submission attempts here by Kure.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pioneeri looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kure lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kure is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pioneeri defends it well. Kure seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Pioneeri looking for submissions off his back. Kure in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Pioneeri is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kure off and has taken his back! Kure is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at DiscoClub that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pioneeri controlling well, preventing Kure from escaping the position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Pioneeri's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That was a close round but I would say that Krejzi Kure will probably get the nod. That's time! Kure's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pioneeri throws a right and a left that both miss. Kure is looking to land body kicks. Pioneeri looks to land a left hand but Kure moved out of range nicely. Pioneeri looks to land a combination but Kure avoids it well. Kure throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pioneeri stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kure throws a shot from downtown. Pioneeri moves away and avoids it. Kure throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pioneeri counters with a nice body shot. Kure keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pioneeri. Kure throws a combination. Pioneeri tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Krejzi Kure is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pioneeri shoots and misses and Kure counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kure connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pioneeri's hands. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kure uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pioneeri has time to react. Pioneeri slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Pioneeri throws a jab but it's blocked by Kure. A right-left combo lands from Pioneeri. Kure closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pioneeri did well to prevent Kure getting side control. Pioneeri is pressing down on Kure's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pioneeri looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Krejzi Kure overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pioneeri is trying to control the position but Kure postures up. Pioneeri looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kure is one step ahead there. Kure passes Pioneeri's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kure is nestled in close to Pioneeri, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kure is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

You can't force these things though and Kure defends well. Kure makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kure looks up at the clock and then as Pioneeri takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kure smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Pioneeri is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kure scoring with strikes to the body and head. Kure uses his free foot to push down on Pioneeri's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pioneeri. The referee warns Pioneeri that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Pioneeri tries to reverse the position but Kure maintains control. Krejzi Kure is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kure content just to control the position here. Pioneeri is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kure controlling the pace for now. Pioneeri is squirming around, avoiding Kure's attempts to control the action. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kure prevents Pioneeri from getting the reversal. Kure controlling from the full mount. Pioneeri is trying desperately to improve position. Kure punishing his opponent with strikes. Kure sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Krejzi Kure showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kure has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
