Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Caspar Creel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Daniel!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniel pinned against the cage. Daniel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Creel slips a jab and a cross from Daniel.
Daniel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Daniel shoots for a double leg takedown but Creel sprawls well. He's pushed Daniel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Creel is looking to counter the offense by Daniel and move into the clinch.

Daniel jumps guard but Creel stands there with Daniel around his waist. Daniel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Creel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Daniel's guard.

Creel misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Creel seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Daniel for as long as he can get away with.

Daniel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Creel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Daniel manages to get himself to full guard.

Caspar Creel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Daniel tries to get to full guard but Creel has control of the leg.

Daniel is pressed up against the cage. Creel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Daniel down to the mat. Daniel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Horrible takedown attempt by Creel or perhaps it was just good defense by Daniel, which made it look bad.
Creel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Daniel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Creel somewhat.

Daniel stuffs the takedown.
Creel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daniel as he jumps to the side.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Daniel.
A little feinted left hand from Creel on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Creel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Daniel closes the distance and clinches.
Caspar Creel has scored more points in the clinch so far.

Creel pulls guard effortlessly.

Daniel won't allow Creel to sweep him here.

Creel is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Daniel presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Caspar Creel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Creel was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Creel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
