Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Efren Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Ferre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jean Ferre has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Efren Porter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Ferre! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Porter shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Porter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ferre, pushing him back against the cage. Porter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ferre just stands there and leans against the cage. Porter is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Efren Porter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Porter tries to pull guard but Ferre holds him up against the cage and eventually Porter drops back down to his feet.
Ferre has clasped his hands together around Porter's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Porter manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ferre in particular looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ferre thows a huge punch but Porter dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Ferre is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ferre lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ferre performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ferre lands a nice short elbow. Ferre performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ferre is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Ferre is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Porter could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ferre content to control rather than advance. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ferre fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Jean Ferre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Porter is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferre lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Porter is looking to close the distance but Ferre sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Porter crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Porter is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Jean Ferre!
