Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Vincent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alan Vincent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Franco! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franco scores with a kick to the midsection. Felipe Franco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vincent tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Franco defends well and Vincent ends up having to push Franco into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Franco throws a counter combo. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Franco. Vincent is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Vincent moves into the clinch successfully.
Franco has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vincent uses from the top position. Vincent stopping the sweep attempt from Franco. Franco looking to control.
Vincent controlling from the top position. Vincent really is a fat lump. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vincent seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Franco for as long as he can get away with. Vincent works over Franco with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franco not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vincent stays in close to Franco's body and controls the position. Vincent postures up in Franco's guard and throws a big left but Franco blocks it. Franco working a defensive guard here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Vincent takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Franco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Vincent closes the distance and clinches. Franco is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Vincent to keep the fight standing. Vincent tightens his grip and picks Franco up, before dumping him to the ground. Franco manages to land in guard. Vincent lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Vincent is in close to Franco's body, working some short punches and elbows. Franco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vincent doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vincent manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Vincent is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Vincent drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vincent jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Vincent controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vincent works over Franco with some ground and pound from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Franco is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Franco looking for a sweep. Not yet Franco, not yet. Franco wants to control the position but Vincent says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Franco trying to control here.
Vincent lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Vincent working over Franco with some ground and pound. Franco looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Franco blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vincent. Franco tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Vincent is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vincent is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Franco looks like he's trying to stand up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Franco punching from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Vincent dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Vincent pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Franco moves in looking to clinch but Vincent pushes him off. Vincent is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Franco can do to turn this around? Vincent on the wrong end of a nice hook. Vincent showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Franco.
Vincent shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Franco's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vincent content to stall in guard here. Franco is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Alan Vincent overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vincent stands up over Franco, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Franco controls Vincent momentarily but Vincent frees himself. Franco throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Vincent throws a big right hand that misses. Vincent is standing up over Franco. Franco looks to escape but Vincent dives into side control.
Vincent staying calm. Franco is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Vincent has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vincent tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vincent has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Franco tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Vincent presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Franco keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Vincent content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vincent punishing his opponent with strikes. Franco is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Franco wants to control but Vincent is having none of it. Vincent looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Vincent lands with some strikes. Franco is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vincent controlling the pace for now. Vincent lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Vincent controlling from the full mount. Vincent landing strikes from the mount and Franco is in trouble! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vincent jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Franco manages to avoid the submission attempt. Franco regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Vincent dominated that second round. That's time! Vincent's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Vincent is looking to counter with head kicks. Franco gets tackled into the cage by Vincent. Vincent maintains the clinch. Franco makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Vincent breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Franco throws a nice looking combination but Vincent bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Vincent has managed to clinch.
Franco tries to stall but Vincent uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Franco gets underhooks to prevent Vincent's takedown attempt.
Vincent breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Franco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vincent moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Franco swinging wildly here.
Franco looks to land a combination but Vincent avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franco plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Franco displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vincent. Vincent defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Franco. Vincent clinches. Vincent keeps control of Franco as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Franco is fighting off a takedown attempt but Vincent is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Franco to the mat. Franco regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Vincent is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Vincent working some strikes from top position. Vincent not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vincent postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Vincent seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Franco preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vincent is stalling in the full guard. Franco is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vincent leaves Franco with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Alan Vincent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Franco. Franco takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Vincent fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Franco, pushing him back against the cage. Franco avoiding damage.
Vincent works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Vincent scoring with some ground and pound. Vincent wants to stand and escape but instead Franco has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Franco prevents Vincent from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Franco looking to sit in guard and control but Vincent gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vincent lands a couple of elbows. Franco had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vincent defends it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Franco wants to hit a switch here but Vincent passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Franco there!
And that's the end of the fight! Alan Vincent showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vincent, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
