Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Sepulveda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Flee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sepulveda comes to the cage accompanied by Llorando se Fue. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alejandro Sepulveda!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bruce Flee!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sepulveda checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Flee cracks Sepulveda with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sepulveda misses with a jab, cross combination.
Flee misses with an uppercut. Sepulveda saw that one coming.
Sepulveda misses with the combination.
Sepulveda needs to keep his hands up - Flee had a free shot at his head there.
Sepulveda misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Flee counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sepulveda lands a nice looking body shot.
Sepulveda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sepulveda misses with a hook. Flee ducked under it nicely.

Sepulveda lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Flee circles away quickly and effectively.

Flee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sepulveda closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Flee throws out a loose jab but Sepulveda uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sepulveda tries to move into range but Flee moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Flee has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Sepulveda takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Flee throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sepulveda.
Flee looks to land a left hand but Sepulveda moved out of range nicely.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Flee enables Sepulveda to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Flee manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Flee uses the cage to get back to his feet.

No joy there for Sepulveda, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sepulveda dives in for a single leg takedown but Flee sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Flee throws a leg kick which misses Sepulveda's front leg but catches the back leg as Sepulveda tries to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Flee lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sepulveda doesn't seem phased though.
Alejandro Sepulveda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flee throws a body shot but no joy.
Sepulveda connects with a crisp jab.
Flee ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sepulveda throws a shot from downtown. Flee moves away and avoids it.
Flee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Flee pushes Sepulveda away with a front kick.
Sepulveda rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Flee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Flee swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Flee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sepulvedas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Flee looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Sepulveda takes one on the button.

Sepulveda takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Sepulveda takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Flee lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sepulveda darts in looking for a takedown but Flee gets double underhooks and turns Sepulveda into the cage.
Flee takes one to the chin there.
Flee fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sepulveda on the side of the head.
Sepulveda throws a lazy head kick
and Sepulveda takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sepulveda has a takedown stuffed.
Flee appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Sepulveda. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sepulveda dives in and scores a takedown into Flee's guard.
Sepulveda is breathing heavily.
Flee tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Flee told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Flee bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sepulveda's guard.

Sepulveda seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Flee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sepulveda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sepulveda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Flee dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Sepulveda throws a right and a left that both miss.
Flee scores with a sloppy right hand. Sepulveda should have avoided that one.
Sepulveda moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sepulveda.

Sepulveda looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Flee is fending him off so far but Sepulveda persists. Nope, Flee circles away and we're back to standing.

Flee takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Flee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sepulveda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sepulveda is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Flee sees it coming and defends easily.

Sepulveda drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Flee manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sepulveda has Flee in his guard.

Flee is taking a breather. Sepulveda says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Flee stands up and beckons Sepulveda to join him on the feet.
Sepulveda loads up on a big right hand but Flee slips the punch.
Flee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Flee there as he acknowledges the shot.

Bruce Flee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sepulveda is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Flee is rocked!
Sepulveda lands a brutal uppercut that launches Flee off his feet! Flee tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Alejandro Sepulveda decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
