The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bean tries to sprawl but Dickinson drives through with a takedown into half guard. Bean is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bean is trying to control but Dickinson passes into side control!
Dickinson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Bean can't do much from the bottom here. Dickinson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bean! Dickinson takes Bean's back. Bean won't enjoy being in this position. Dickinson looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Bean is tapping - it's over boys! Dickinson picks up the submission victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). David Dickinson! David Dickinson retains his featherweight title! David Dickinson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
