Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Islam Makhachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makhachev kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is HEY MAMA - David Guetta ft Nicki Minaj & Afrojack. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chris Kennedy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Makhachev tries to clinch up but Kennedy circles away and keeps his distance.
A little jabbing left from Kennedy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Makhachev has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Makhachev there as he acknowledges the shot.

Makhachev throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kennedy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

and Kennedy counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Kennedy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Makhachev lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kennedy manages to break the clinch.
Makhachev tries to clinch but fails miserably

Good leg kick by Kennedy there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Makhachev throws out a loose jab but Kennedy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kennedy throws out a counter right but Makhachev avoids it with no problem.
Kennedy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Makhachev looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Makhachev looks to score with a jab to the body but Kennedy is just out of range.

and Kennedy counters with a nice uppercut.
Makhachev swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Makhachev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Islam Makhachev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Kennedy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Makhachev's knee momentarily.

Kennedy throws a good cross that connects.

Makhachev walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Oh Makhachev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kennedy lands with a shot to the body.
Makhachev is breathing heavily.

and Kennedy counters with a low kick, right behind Makhachev 's knee.
Kennedy throws an uppercut from hell that sends Makhachev clean off his feet! He's out cold! Kennedy stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
