The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pu misses with a hook. Catchmaer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pu.
Pu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Pu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Catchmaer moves away. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pu closes the distance and clinches. Pu softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Catchmaer keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pu's efforts to push away. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pu. Catchmaer lands on the inside with an uppercut. Pu avoids the elbow strike from Catchmaer, against the cage.
A short right from Pu. Pu lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Pu fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Pu avoids a wild elbow strike from Catchmaer. Pu is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A head punch on the inside from Pu fails to land. Pu tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Catchmaer's elbow. Pu avoids a wild elbow strike from Catchmaer. Pu is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Pu is working Catchmaer over against the cage. Pu lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Catchmaer. Pu lands a hook to the side of the head. Pu content to slow the pace in the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Catchmaer pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Catchmaer tries to throw a body punch but Pu avoids it by throwing Catchmaer back against the cage. Pu blocking some punches.

Catchmaer stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Catchmaer misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch blocked on the inside by Pu. Catchmaer tries to break free but Pu pushes him back against the cage. Catchmaer throws a head punch that misses. Pu softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Catchmaer just misses with a elbow thrown towards Pu's brow. Catchmaer blocks an uppercut.
Pu breaks from the clinch.
Pu thows a left - swing and a miss! Pu throws a nice looking combination but Catchmaer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The fight stays on the outside here - Catchmaer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Catchmaer rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pu counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Catchmaer!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pu content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Catchmaer is trying to stand back up but Pu is controlling him
Pu trying to control the action but Catchmaer is working from the bottom. Pu is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Pu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Catchmaer looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Pu wants to control but Catchmaer is keeping him busy. Well, if Pu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Catchmaer is trying to maintain the position but Pu is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Catchmaer moves away from the strike by Pu. Pu takes one to the chin there. Catchmaer keeps the fight on the outside. Pu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Catchmaer sees it coming and avoids it easily. Catchmaer wants to counter with a clinch but Pu pushes him away. Catchmaer looks to throw the jab but Pu is out of range. Catchmaer misses with the combination.
Pu jabbing away but nothing is landing. Catchmaer gets a clinch. Pu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Catchmaer moves away. Catchmaer wants to clinch up but Pu keeps it at a distance. Pu pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Catchmaer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Pu takes a swing at Catchmaer's ribcage but misses. Pu uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Catchmaer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pu.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rudy Pu dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Catchmaer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Pu ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The fighters circling - Pu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pu moves away from the strike by Catchmaer. Pu ducks under a wild hook from Catchmaer. Pu lands a really nice looking cross but Catchmaer seems unphased.

Pu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pu misses with the combination.
Pu is looking to clinch but Catchmaer is avoiding it.
Rudy Pu is winning the standup battle so far. Pu lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Catchmaer backs up against the cage.
Pu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Catchmaer can do to turn this around? Pu darts in trying to clinch and Catchmaer counters with a stiff right hand. Catchmaer takes a swing at Pu's ribcage but misses. Pu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Catchmaer throws out the jab. Catchmaer punishes Pu's body with a nice straight punch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Catchmaer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Catchmaer takes a shot right to the bread basket. Pu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Catchmaer.
A big left from Catchmaer misses. Catchmaer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pu, as that shot connected.
Pu throws a shot from downtown. Catchmaer moves away and avoids it. Catchmaer moves away from the strike by Pu. Pu lands a nice hook to Catchmaer's body. Catchmaer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Pu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Catchmaer was well out of range. Poor timing from Pu. Pu misses with a double jab
and Catchmaer counters with a nice uppercut. Left hook, right uppercut from Pu. Pu listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big right from Catchmaer misses. Catchmaer lands a two punch combo.
Pu throws a jab when Catchmaer was well out of range. Pu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Catchmaer. Catchmaer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Danga de danga de dang - Pu scores with a four punch combination! Catchmaer throws a hook to the side of Pu's head but Pu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A punch combination from Catchmaer misses. An inside leg kick from Pu misses. Catchmaer throws a sloppy head kick and Pu moves out of range easily. It looked like Pu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Good standup being displayed there by Pu as he connects with a hook.
Catchmaer is rocked! Pu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Catchmaer is still on wobbly legs! Can Pu finish him? Pu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Catchmaer to score with a decent uppercut. Catchmaer seems to have recovered his senses. Catchmaer tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pu is able to avoid easily. Pu moves away from the strike by Catchmaer. Pu lands with an overhand left. Pu bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Catchmaer's head backwards. Pu closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Catchmaer! Pu dives in looking to finish! Catchmaer is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rudy Pu! A less than humble Rudy Pu misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
