Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clement Rongway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rongway throws a body shot but no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rongway. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rongway connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rongway.
Rongway jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rongway swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rongway counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rongway tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Jones.
Rongway swings wildly with an uppercut but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
A bit of stalling here from Jones.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones struggles to land a body shot inside as Rongway controls his hands.
Jones tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Nice body punch from Rongway - that landed with a thud.
Rongway makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Jones breaks from the clinch.
Rongway fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rongway lands a big right hand that sends Jones crashing to the mat! Rongway stays standing though and waves Jones back to his feet!
Jones is rocked!
Rongway fakes the body blow, causing Jones to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Jones goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Clement Rongway!
