The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kent clinches. Kent manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jackson wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving. Kent wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment. Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Kent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss. Jackson scores with a takedown into Kent's guard. Kent keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jackson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kent's guard. Kent looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jackson has picked Kent up and slammed him! Kent can't keep hold of the triangle and Jackson manages to pass to side control! Kent is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jackson wants to control but Kent is keeping him busy. Kent is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Clark Kent will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jackson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kent swivels and escapes. Brandon Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson wants to clinch and Kent counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. Jackson working a defensive guard here.
Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kent!

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kent is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Brandon Jackson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kent circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jackson in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson wants to pass to mount but Kent is defending the position. Jackson performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Jackson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jackson is tying to control. Kent wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jackson wants to stand but Kent has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Jackson is tying to control. That was a close second round but I would say that Clark Kent will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kent manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jackson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kent! Jackson throws some wild stikes that Kent manages to avoid easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson trying to control but Kent is having none of it. Jackson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kent turns into him and now he's in Jackson's guard.
Jackson has his feet on Kent's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jackson stays in close to Kent's body and controls the position. Jackson trying to control but Kent is working from the bottom. Kent trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kent has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jackson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Brandon Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far.
