Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Lundin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cody Lundin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Cody Lundin!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lundin blocks the body kick.
Lundin thinks about the counter body kick.
Bishop fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lundin! But no joy.
Bishop lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A slow jab from Bishop misses its intended target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bishop looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lundin throws a solid leg kick but Bishop takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Lundin.
A quick step to the side and Bishop tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bishop cracks Lundin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Bishop looks to land a body kick but Lundin moved away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bishop takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Bishop lands a really nice looking cross but Lundin seems unphased.

Lundin lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bishop sprawling to the canvas. Lundin follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bishop hang on?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bishop wants to get back to full guard but Lundin has passed into side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bishop is looking for a sweep.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bishop lands with an uppercut that bounces Lundin off the cage and back into range.
Lundin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Bishop throws a push kick but Lundin slaps the foot to one side.

Lundin throws a hook but Bishop avoids it easily.
Bishop swings for the body but Lundin moves out of range.
Bishop moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Bishop scores with a jab. Lundin acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Lundin connects with a jab.
Bishop chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lundin can pounce on him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lundin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bishop manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bishop misses with a low kick.
Lundin is looking to chop away at Bishop's legs.
Lundin avoids a kick to the body.

Bishop decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bishop is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lundin defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cody Lundin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bishop scores with a sloppy right hand. Lundin should have avoided that one.

A little feinted left hand from Bishop on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lundin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Lundin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bishop.

Bishop's corner calls for a 1-2. Bishop obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bishop creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bishop swings wildly with an uppercut but Lundin uses good head movement to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bishop is looking to take this one to the mat.
Lundin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Bishop's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Lundin will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bishop up against the cage.

Lundin tries a knee to the head but Bishop blocks it.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Cody Lundin seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Lundin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Lundin gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bishop gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Lundin is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arthur Bishop!
A relieved looking Arthur Bishop thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
